Is the Church Ready For Revival

There’s a hunger in the hearts of people all around the world. They are desperately searching for something greater than themselves, and are tired of the life they have been living.
A remnant is rising.
Above the noise of riots and violence, a new sound is starting to permeate the air. A low rumbling, growing louder and louder. It advances into the darkness and overturns the enemy. It’s the sound of lives changing – the sound of revival headed our way.

Reclaiming Enemy Territory
As was witnessed in Seattle, Washington earlier this week, even darkness cannot prevail over what the Holy Spirit is doing at this time.
Sean Feucht of Bethel Music has been organizing ‘Let Us Worship’ rallies. Focusing primarily on cities that have been under heavy violent oppression, or on areas where attempts are being made to silence the Church, these rallies seek to bring unity in Christ all around the world.
This past Sunday, they took to the streets of Seattle – specifically in the area referred to as CHOP. Over the past several months, criminal activity, violence, and protests have echoed throughout the streets – terrorizing those in its path. But on August 9, Christians who are entirely sold out to the prospect of ushering in revival sought to reclaim enemy territory. They were, however, met with a significant amount of resistance.
Speaking specifically of Sunday’s rally in Seattle, Feucht shared:
“We had an entire satanic cult march through the worshippers the entire time yelling ‘Hail Satan!’. They killed our generators at one point…yet, through it all…SEATTLE NEVER STOPPED SINGING!!! We saw salvations, healings, miracles, and baptisms! It was on another level! THE CHURCH REFUSED TO BE INTIMIDATED AND GOD KEPT POURING OUT!”
Another organizer, Jessi Green, emphasized that “…people NEED Jesus. They need God to be real.”
The New Normal
As people begin to rapidly turn their hearts back to the Lord, the question remains, “Will the Church be ready?”

For many, the Church has left the building. It’s no longer confined to a brick and mortar structure but is instead going out into the streets. Churches have had to embrace technology, and welcome a new ‘normal’. Services are live-streamed, and small group studies have to either pursue that option or dismantle entirely.
While the temptation is there to forego small group meetings at this time, it can be a grave mistake to fall into that temptation.
The Need For Healing
Now, more than ever, people need interaction. An online Sunday morning service may offer them good worship and a good word, but it removes the opportunity to share life with others. Feelings of isolation, loneliness, separation, depression, and more are beginning to emerge. Anxiety is at an all-time high as the uncertainty of tomorrow looms over them. As a result, an even greater need to medicate is arising.

The Time Is Now
Now is the perfect time to become the hands and feet of Jesus to a hurting world. The birth pains of revival are upon us, and it is time for the Church to be ready and waiting for the prodigals who choose to return home.
From the moment they accept Christ into their heart, their spirits become brand-new. However, let’s not discount the fact that their flesh is still hurting.
Thanks to powerful studies such as the Conquer Series and Warpath, men can begin to pursue a life beyond addiction. Focusing primarily on sexual addiction, the Conquer Series has been known to help individuals find freedom from other struggles as well. It explains how the brain is changed through the addictive behaviors, why trying harder does not work, and how the past often contributes to the present-day struggles.
All around the world, men are learning that they are not defined by their past mistakes or things that have been done to them. Instead, they are recognizing their identity in Christ and walking forward in freedom. Sonya shared,
“God has done a great work of deliverance in my husband’s life. The Conquer Series was instrumental in that…I’ve been praying that both my husband and son will be completely surrendered to the Lord. My husband, Tim, met with our pastor. God used our pastor to help deliver Tim from the addiction of smokeless tobacco, unforgiveness, and pornography. He has a new heart!”
Don’t let social distancing prevent you from being a hospital to the broken and hurting. Soul Refiner, a newly released digital streaming platform that features both the Conquer Series and Warpath, can help you offer small group studies virtually.
Using Technology
If you’re skeptical about its effectiveness, Sean B’s testimony may change your mind. He wrote, “I really can’t say enough good about the awesome blessing it is to have Soul Refiner come online, especially during this pandemic.
Before moving to the online format on the Soul Refiner site, I went through in-person Conquer groups five times, co-leading four of those times. I thought that Conquer could only bring results in person, so I was concerned that meeting over Zoom using the Soul Refiner site would be awkward. I am excited to say that it works extremely well online.”
He continued, “I feel close to the men in my group, and we are getting results. Men are being set free. I actually think the online format is superior to the paper form now that I have experienced it. The FASTER Scale and built-in Crash Site Analysis is an incredible tool that was not readily available in the book form.
Also, the unlimited number of SWORD Drill verses allows us to be more flexible in scheduling if we skip a week for a holiday. Our class time is also more efficient and effective now that the group members watch the video prior to class. Also, now that we don’t have to drive to class, attendance is more consistent and the group members are more punctual.”

Sean concluded by sharing,
“Bottom line for me is that I am a believer in the Soul Refiner platform. It was the missing piece in the fight against industrialized enslavement of men and the destruction of marriages through sexual addiction.”
